This recycled wool is made from clothes that would otherwise go to landfill. It's an astonishing process. First, the clothes are sorted by hand into piles according to their fibre (wool, cotton or denim). These enormous piles are then re-sorted into smaller piles based on the colour of the clothes. Clothes with patterns on them go onto the melange pile, creating yarn that’s a vibrant mix of colours. Finally, when each coloured pile of the same fibre weighs 200 kilos, it goes off to be spun into yarn.
There is no dying and absolutely nothing goes to waste.
