Manufacture With Us

All of our garments are hand-knitted to the highest standards - just ask some of the world’s best designers who use Koco.

Our Manufacturing Makes A Difference

All of our garments are hand-knitted to the highest standards - just ask some of  the world’s best designers who use Koco.

There are no machines, no waste and zero carbon footprint. We pay above award wages to employ women in rural southern India, giving them independence and a sense of purpose they would not otherwise have.

We expertly hand knit garments for your brand, no matter how big or small you are - there is no limit to how many garments we can make, and no minimum order.

Timing? Unlike fast fashion, our unique products are a labour of love, but we can guarantee beautiful garments arriving at your doorstep within five weeks, and every month after that.

And most importantly, with Koco you will be making a difference to the lives of the women who carefully hand knit for you.

Our Events Make A Difference

Do you want to help village women in southern India? Come to our first runway event in Sydney on May 25. We are bringing our collection of unique, ethically created knitwear directly to the public for the first time.

And in keeping with the humble origins of the garments, they will be modelled by both professional catwalkers and everyday men and women – in a range of shapes and sizes – showing how the pieces work in everyday lives.

Our aim is to keep the sisterhood of female knitters, who, like the rest of the world were hard hit during COVID, employed and therefore financially independent.

The collection of quality, yet affordable, luxury garments pushes the boundaries of contemporary design and what people might think possible with traditional hand-knitting.

The parade will feature 30 unique styles, ranging in price from $350 to $1200, in coral-themed colours and all made from a lightweight mohair and silk mix suitable for both indoor and outdoor wear.

The exclusive range of knitwear features not just jumpers but scarves, shirts, hats, pants, and dresses for both men and women.

Designs include ombre, intarsia (multi-coloured), and a twist on cable knits through to elegant transparent nets created in collaboration between KOCO and a knitwear designer who has previously worked with Burberry and Alexander McQueen.

The ticketed event starts at 6.30pm and will continue until guests have had a chance to order, or take home, their own KOCO creation.

About KOCO

KOCO is a global commercial hand-knitting company founded in 2013 by Australian knitwear entrepreneur, Danielle Chiel. What began as a solution to producing hand-knitted garments offshore is now a sisterhood of artisans and a B-Corp certified company with the United Nations’ Global Goals for Sustainable Development entwined in its DNA.

In partnership with women in rural villages of Tamil Nadu in southern India, KOCO has scaled the art of hand-knitting to produce commercial quantities of bespoke artisan garments, artworks, and corporate gifts.
